Putting into context for proper conservation

This book presents a meticulous and systematic study of all the stained glass windows from the provinces of Walloon Brabant, Hainaut, Liège and Namur dating from between 1550 and 1650. Isabelle Lecocq's rigorous deciphering of these precious witnesses of the generalized transformation of art between Renaissance and Baroque confirms the continuity of stained glass production in the Walloon region despite the tormented situation of the time. This contextualization will facilitate the proper conservation of all these works.
