Symposium XXIII over de Studie van de Ondertekening en Technologie in de Schilderkunst
Het internationale en interdisciplinaire XXIIIe Symposium over de Studie van de Ondertekening en Technologie in de Schilderkunst buigt zich over het thema 'Cross-Media Perspectives. Technical Studies of Art on Panel, Paper and Parchment (1400-1600)'.
Het XXIIIe Symposium for the Study of Underdrawing and Technology in Painting zal een wetenschappelijk forum bieden voor de presentatie van nieuwe studies in de kunstwetenschappen, toegespitst op kunst uit de middeleeuwen en de vroegmoderne periode (1400-1600). De conferentie richt zich op het technisch onderzoek van kunst in verschillende media en op verschillende dragers: paneelschilderingen, schilderingen op perkament en doek, tekeningen, prenten, schetsen, model- en schetsboeken en miniatuurkunst.
Het symposium wordt georganiseerd met diverse partners: KU Leuven, Illuminare, UCLouvain, Musea Brugge, KIK en dit jaar ook KBR en M Leuven.
Het driedaagse congres zal plaatsvinden van 11 tot 13 januari 2024 in Leuven en Brussel.

The Archduchess Isabella (1566-1633). Artistic Agency between Madrid and the Southern Netherlands
The twenty-third Art History Seminar of the Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage (KIK-IRPA) is organised in collaboration with the research project AGENART at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). It will take place on 12th-13th September 2024 at the Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage and at the Instituto Cervantes, both in Brussels, highlighting various fascinating aspects of the artistic patronage of the remarkable woman who was the Archduchess Isabella, who lived in Madrid and Brussels between 1566 and 1633.
